“The Patron membership scheme is continuing to evolve. The shared aim of building good businesses and helping other firms within the county to thrive is a great starting point.
A combination of event types, ranging from formal dinners to less formal socials such as an evening at the theatre or day at the races, gives like minded members the ability to really get to know each other.
Regular forums are hosted by the members and give an insight into that business. Another part of the forum is a ‘my big dilemma’ section where a member shares a current opportunity or obstacle. These forums have become mastermind groups where shared knowledge and experience is invaluable.
With the support of our peers we are seeing the opportunities to expand our own businesses increase and I look forward to this continuing. In my business I have recouped a multiple of the financial investment required to join the scheme, but is about more than just money. There is also a certain pride associated with being a Patron of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.
I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone who thinks they might benefit from being involved in the scheme should contact Richard Sheehan to find out more.”
