Every little helps

As a result of the cost-of-living crisis, the use of food banks have almost become part of everyday life.

Telford based civil engineering and building contractor McPhillips has teamed up with Telford Crisis Support to provide items for food banks within the local community.

Crates will be available on various construction sites and at McPhillips’s Head Office.

In a nod towards this years’ 60th anniversary celebrations the company are aiming for 60 items in each crate for distribution within the Telford area continuing throughout the year.

Vicky Bradley and Alison Truswell who are managing the effort on behalf of McPhillips commented: “It’s shocking how vital food banks have become to many living in our community. We hope that we can help as many people as possible through our initiative with Telford Crisis Support.”
